Belt and Road rail integration

Azerbaijan Railways

Role: Conceptualised the “One Belt, One Road” integration for Azerbaijan Railways: China, the Caspian, the Caucasus and on to Europe.
Outcome: Took part in the intergovernmental agreement signings in Beijing between the heads of state of China and Azerbaijan.

Belt and Road rail integration

Context: Positioning Azerbaijan’s railway as a link in China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative and the trans-Caspian route to Europe.
My role: Conceptualised the “One Belt, One Road” integration for Azerbaijan Railways.
Outcome: Participated in the intergovernmental agreement signings in Beijing between the heads of state of China and Azerbaijan.

Corridor · Consortium

Western North–South route

Context: Developing the western branch of the International North–South Transport Corridor as a commercial logistics offer.
My role: Advisor to DP World and RZD Logistics on transport corridor strategy and the optimisation of logistics models for the western route.
Outcome: Facilitated a signed memorandum of cooperation to establish a logistics consortium.

AD Ports Group · KEZAD

Hub · Agro-logistics

Khalifa Port agro-logistics hub

Context: A dedicated agro-logistics hub at Khalifa Port, within the KEZAD special economic zone.
My role: Conceptualised the hub, led discussions with the parties and led the memorandum signings for its development.
Outcome: Memoranda signed for the development of the hub with AD Ports Group.

Project logistics · EU → KSA

NEOM & AlUla project logistics

Context: Complex technology equipment from European manufacturers for mountain projects in NEOM and AlUla, Saudi Arabia.
My role: Orchestrated end-to-end logistics and procurement while building the company’s supply chain department from the ground up.
Outcome: Stable air freight solutions from the EU to Saudi Arabia for sensitive projects in Tabuk and AlUla.

Building a freight forwarding group from zero

Context: An international logistics and freight forwarding business serving the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and CIS by sea, air, rail and road, with warehousing and customs clearance.
My role: Founded the company and led strategy, P&L and operations; negotiated contracts with leading carriers; developed the in-house ERP and accounting controls.
Outcome: Operations in the UAE, India, Turkey, Georgia, China and Azerbaijan; annual turnover up 300%; more than $50M in long-term contracts; 25% lower supply chain costs; 40% less manual processing.
